I began my journey as a psychotherapist and yogi during a college study abroad program in India. I was originally a BFA acting major and became very disillusioned with the theatre scene that I was in; I decided to take a break by participating in a Buddhist Studies program. I now recognize that Buddhist philosophy is one of the original sciences of the mind and can see how this program planted a seed for my future studies in psychotherapy. During my time in India, I was also introduced to yoga and was amazed by the benefits of the practice to both the body and the mind. Upon graduating from college, I took a job as an administrator of a Tibetan Buddhist studies program in Kathmandu, Nepal. There I was able to deepen my studies of yoga, Buddhism, and mindfulness and discover my life's purpose of assisting others to awaken to their full potential.

Back in the United States, I have since completed my 200-hour yoga teacher certification with Kim Manfredi and am registered with Yoga Alliance. Always looking for ways to deepen my practice, I have since studied with Todd Norian, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Amy Weintraub, among others. Under Amy's guidance, I have become a certified Life Force Yoga instructor specializing in using yoga as a healing modality for depression and anxiety. During my yoga studies, I experienced a chronic, debilitating illness. Although losing my health was a trying experience, it allowed me to apply my knowledge of yoga as a tool to heal my body and mind. My desire to combine the healing traditions of the
Eastand West led me to pursue my MSW
from the University of Maryland. I have since
completed certifications in Holistic Life
Coaching and Dialectical Behavior Therapy
(DBT). As a psychotherapist, yoga teacher,
and life coach, my goal is to unite all the
techniques I have studied to assist my
clients in accessing the inherent wisdom,
strength, and unlimited resources that lie
within each of us. Ever a student, I am
committed to walking the path with each
person I have the honor of working with.
